December 1, 2011
To all my very special friends and partners,
May the counsel, favor and friendship of God be upon your home!
I would have preferred to visit with you personally, see your faces, and spend time with you. Unfortunately as this is not possible, this letter must suffice.
In John 5 we read about an invalid at the pool of Bethesda who had a disorder for 38 years. An angel of the Lord, at appointed times, stirred the water and whoever entered the pool first was cured of whatever disease they had. How long this invalid waited there is not known. What is known is that at Bethesda it did not operate on a first come, first served principle. This man witnessed the stirring of the water, but was unsuccessful to get into the water first to receive his healing. His experiences at the pool was everything but positive! He experienced even injustice. He had every reason to give up on his dream. Yet, he still remained at Bethesda.
Why?
This was the place of hope, where a miracle could still happen. The Bible does not say he had great faith. Hope brought him to the pool and kept him at the pool. There had to be better begging spots in Jerusalem but he did not hope for a few coins—he hoped for healing!
This man had a visitation by the One who created angels. Christ asked him an interesting question, “Do you want to be made well?” The Amplified Bible inserted the following: “Are you really in earnest about getting well?”
He gave Christ all the reasons humanly speaking for being unsuccessful! People failed him, but God would not! As his focus changed from staring at the water to obeying Christ, he received his healing and his life was changed forever! When Jesus appeared, it was no longer necessary to look to the water.
Maybe you need to change your focus too. Instead of looking at people to help you with an increase, a miracle or even healing, look at Christ who still meets with man today.
I also had expectations for 2011, some materialized and some did not. Although I have ministered, witnessed and made use of every opportunity, I have spent most of my time finalizing 12 booklets for publication. This was an idea that God gave me to release funds for the kingdom. This is a massive undertaking and I had hoped to have it available in Wal-Mart and Christian Bookstores by now.
Unfortunately it's not finished yet, but I have not lost hope. Your financial support during this year has made all the difference as well as every prayer, phone call or word of encouragement. I appreciate it very much! May God bless you richly for investing into this ministry.
We are nearing the end of another year. Maybe you also have an expectation for healing, a financial breakthrough or a miracle that have not materialized yet.
Even if you've trusted God for a long period of time, don't give up on your dream. Because we believe in miracles, keep on expecting things to change. Even if your victory or breakthrough does not happen today, tomorrow may present itself with a new opportunity. Be persistent and keep on trusting in God to move on your behalf!
May God bless you with a spirit of perseverance and keep on dreaming!
In His service,
Henry Boyens
